Cleaning Tips: Mix with baking soda to make an extra strong cleaning team!
For an all purpose cleaning mix use 2 parts of vinegar to 1 part water. (Add equal parts vinegar and dish soap, then add water, to make a great cleaner for bathrooms and kitchens - the dish soap adds some de-greasing power)
Add your favourite essential oil to add extra cleaning power (lemon and tea tree oil for example will give you some additional anti-bacterial properties)
If you aren't a fan of the smell from vinegar, don't worry because it won't last long.
Dirty or stinky sink drain? Problem with fruit flies?
Pour 1 kettle of boiling hot water down the drain. Then dump 1 cup of baking soda down the drain followed by enough cleaning vinegar to see the baking soda fizz. Let sit for 10 minutes. Pour another kettle of boiling hot water down the drain. Repeat for several days. (Fruit flies lay eggs in your sink drains, that is why they multiple so fast and you often see them around the sink, this method will kill the eggs. For those who are already out and about - leave a container of vinegar on your counter with sugar mixed in, they will be attracted to the solution (use an old container - something you can poke holes into so that they can get in but not out).
Cleaning vinegar is so versatile but it is strong and can ruin the polish or finish on wood and natural stones. If you would like to because you are not wanting to use a cleaner, then you will need to dilute it significantly and use at your own risk.
